Baldur's Gate - The Original Saga v3 FINAL

Ok, so now it's finalized.

The final version of Baldur's Gate - the Original Saga v3 available from a variety of torrent sites for your downloading pleasure. I've updated the project page and the old update post about v2.

I'm DONE updating Baldur's Gate 1!
I know there are people who still have crashes and problems, but I've done all I can from my end, and I can no longer bang my head against the wall trying to fix what seems to be a game that has problems in its own right, regardless of what I do with my portable launchers.

Changelog for v3:

This is a brand-spanking new version of Baldur's Gate - The Original Saga (which includes tales of the sword coast) with these additional fixes:

Official 5512 Patch
Official DirectX Patch
Bladurdash FixPack v1.11
Bladurdash Game Text Update v1.11

I've done some tinkering to prevent any further errors, and I hope everyone enjoys! Naturally, this is still beta, and bugs might appear; leave a comment if you have any problems!

It is advised that everyone download this new version and delete the old one.

If your game crashes after the intro movies and just before the main menu, the path to the game is too long and you need to move the game closer to the root of your drive (such as C:/ or D:/ or J:/).

Hey. I just discovered your site and your games a few days back and I must say, it's awesome.

That being said, I cannot get it past the intro movie. I've attempted to move it to right under the C drive and it still crashes.

Help?

Now i've got to go and buy a load of memory sticks, hehe
At least I can uninstall them from my home comp now to make space :O)
Thanks again this new version (once I moved it nearer the root) works lovely!
Three Cheers for Milo, hip hip....

Can't download the whole thing (version 3) again now so I'm just wondering if the first version also included the Baldurdash fixes?

UMMM... something happened. I was playing it one day, and then the next day it doesn't work all of a sudden. I made no changes to the game, the directory or even my computer. It says there isn't enough free disk space so it shuts down BUT on my resource window I have just under 1250000, well over half of my RAM. What's up with that? The disk space seemed fine the night before!!!

Hey dude, I just wanted to take the time to thank you for all of your hard work. I own all of these games, but I have a netbook and your conversions are so much easier to install. Any hope that you'll set up Icewindale 1&2 or Planescape:torment?

Thanks again!

Ciao!

Thanks man, this is awesome. Might I suggest Halo 2 for your list of games to portable-ize?

Hey, I discovered your website a little while ago, and it's a shame so few people are seeding your games.

Excellent work with the Fallout 2, loving playing it at school!

You should try and do either Arena, or Daggerfall sometime. If you did these, I would most likely seed them for quite some time. Awesome work, and good luck with your endeavors!

when you kill a monster does the rendering of that character go black for everyone else? Just wondering if it's my settings.

Thanks a million for these portables!

Ciao. Il tuo blog è molto buono; potrebbe fare una versione portable di questi games:

warlords

neverwinter nights

icewind dale

Arrivederci!

I can't seem to get into it, I know you're done updating, but perhaps if you could help, it crashes as soon as I press the 'New Game' button, I tried playing in multiplayer, but it crashes as soon as I start.

Any suggestions?

I just got and installed BG2 + TOB and I must say That is some nice work, I haven't tried to play yet and my just import my game from the one on my system to my USB.

I am very interested in the diablo 1 to see if that is as good as bg2 and am d/ling your other games I have never heard of.

If ever you feel ambitious, Neverwinter nights and others of that gener would be a great asset to your list.

Thanks again
