Imminent Heroic Release
Heroes of Might and Magic 3 has been completed. I am uploading it right now to Megaupload. A release will be posted here in about 12 hours (Going to bed, then work in the morning). I've solved the multiple-executable problem; ultimately it was a no-brainer, and there's nothing substantial to report other than a total win. The game has 3 'portable entry-points' (Game, map editor, campaign editor). Have fun. Links to come soon. Hold tight. I have also updated several facets of USBGaming.org.
- Box art images have been added for the 2 games so far, and I will add one for each subsequent release.
- I have re-uploaded Legions of Iron to Mininova, but as a compressed .rar to save everyone some time (Down to 400 MB from 787).
- I've uploaded Legions of Iron to Demonoid.com for some extra exposure. I will release on this site in the future, and I'm debating whether The Pirate Bay is worth the extra time.
WTF am I doing?
Dungeon Siege has been put on hiatus because of poll. Also, I was having trouble with it. There is a registry entry that is in hex code which contains the path to the game. I have completed everything else besides this one problem, and the game appears to run, but you have to click past like 4 error messages; that's not fun. However, I've put that aside to work on Heroes of Might and Magic 3. Work is going smoothly here. There could be problems trying to get more than one executable to be portable for the same game (the map editor). I had a similar hiccup with Haegemonia and the Solon Heritage, but it's a slightly different issue - which I hope has nothing to do with this. I only have a limited number of hours a day to work on these portable games, so I hope everyone understands if I take my time. I don't intend to release something if I'm aware that it doesn't completely remove all traces of its execution. I might pick up Dungeon Siege to finish it up before moving on to Neverwinter Nights. I want to add the CEP *AND* the PRC to NWN, so that could be a 'fun' one to try and get working.
Upcoming
I've been working on an advanced portable launcher for the game Dungeon Siege: Legends of Aranna. It requires something more complicated than the simple one I had for Haegemonia. This progress will go towards making my next projects (such as the ones in the poll) much smoother and safer for the end-user.

What is this game?This game is also known in America as "Hegemonia" due to the English/American language differences (H(a)egemony is a real word, by the way.)Due to the success of the first game, Digital Reality produced an add-on package, The Solon Heritage, which added a few new features, such as a proper skirmish mode, and modding tools. It was not that well received, however, due to the lack of a new campaign. Because of contract issues (mainly of Wanadoo being sold), The Solon Heritage was not published in the US. |

Rolling Smoothly
Quick update: Everything is working fine, and a new project has been started. I've added megaupload links to the Legions of Iron release, and I am about to release The Solon Heritage. You're welcome.
Solution.
Megaupload.com I cannot leave my computer on all the time, so when I read that the megaupload upload/download manager supports resuming uploads, it was a deal. I am uploading currently, links to follow. I have not yet decided on my next project. Suggestions are still welcome.
Update
Just a quick update: I have not posted the next Haegemonia installment because I am making sure that the first one I released is seeded well. This is not working well, since I have limited bandwidth, I will look into rapidshare and other alternatives.
Solon Heritage is coming soon
I have The Solon Heritage completed and it's sitting on my hard-drive right now, but I don't have the time to upload a torrent of it. Rest assured, in about 5-6 hours I will upload it and post here. In the mean-time, I am seeding Legions of Iron for your portable pleasure. I am considering what game to work on next. Maybe Heroes of Might and Magic 3? Suggestions welcome in the comments.

What is this game?This game is also known in America as "Hegemonia" due to the English/American language differences (H(a)egemony is a real word, by the way.)Haegemonia takes place in the distant future where humanity has colonized the solar system and tensions are high between the World Government of Earth and colonial Mars. A summit on Earth's moon is planned to ease tensions, but the Martian representative's shuttle is destroyed en-route by a third, currently unknown, party. The two sides blame each other and this one event sparks off the civil war between the colonists and Earth. Haegemonia takes place in the distant future where humanity has colonized the solar system and tensions are high between the World Government of Earth and colonial Mars. A summit on Earth's moon is planned to ease tensions, but the Martian representative's shuttle is destroyed en-route by a third, currently unknown, party. The two sides blame each other and this one event sparks off the civil war between the colonists and Earth. The player can side with Captain Jack Garner of Earth to quell the colonial uprising, or join Captain Nilea Cortilliari and the Martian colonists on their campaign for independence. Once the outcome of the war is decided, be it Earth or Mars, humanity unites under the new Unified Government and forms the Legions of Iron, its vanguard of expansion into the unknown. As the human race expands outward from Sol, mysteries are solved and more new ones are created as they encounter new worlds and alien civilizations. |

Setback
Haegemonia will not be ready as soon as I'd hoped. Initially I wanted to combine the two games, so they use a single registry and folder. This will not be possible, since I would have to study and rewrite (and subsequently debug) the NSIS script for this to be possible. Instead, I will treat the two as if they were separate games. This is both faster and more practical in the long run. ETA: A day or two (three?). I am including patches up to 1.09, and the Christmas add-on. Leave a comment with a link to any additional relevant software or information before I make a final release.
Haegemonia is Coming!
The first game I will convert to USB-friendliness is Haegemonia (Hegemonia) from 2002. I will be doing both Legions of Iron, and The Solon Heritage add-on. For more information on this game, use Google.
