What is this game?This game is also known in America as "Hegemonia" due to the English/American language differences (H(a)egemony is a real word, by the way.)Due to the success of the first game, Digital Reality produced an add-on package, The Solon Heritage, which added a few new features, such as a proper skirmish mode, and modding tools. It was not that well received, however, due to the lack of a new campaign. Because of contract issues (mainly of Wanadoo being sold), The Solon Heritage was not published in the US. |

the game is awesome its been so long i though i would never beable to play this game again, because i got it as a gift but parent broke it due to overnight gaming so i've never finish the game. thanks man i really owe you big time for this so ill help seed whenever im free to seed mostly on the weekends for you man.
I have downloaded this game and ran it, but it asked me to enter the cd-key. Any suggestions?

The cd-key is stored in the registry, so my guess is the program's registry entries are not getting loaded properly.
Try opening the .reg file with notepad and seeing what's in there. If there is no key there, then that's the problem and you can get a fresh version from the download link up in the original blog entry. If everything looks fine, download it anyway and compare .reg files. If they are the same and the problem persists, note the location of the cd-key in the registry, run the game, alt-tab out, open up regedit and look to see if the key is where it should be in there. ALSO: there is a possibility that if you are running on a limited user account (aka not administrator) the registry entries will not apply.
CD Key for me too And both these games seem to be the same.
I downloded both (heh it's only bandwidth) to see the difference (as addon got horrid reviews).
But running supposedly Legions of Iron off USB stick gave me Solon.
That was on v v old 2000 machine w GF4. Just plugged stick into a fresh XP SP3 machine with ATI X1950 to see if GFX card would make a difference but thwarted by CD Key.
Now I already checked reg file, and this thing an fine on the 2K machine. In rg files I notice there are two and the solon one (the one I checked) was almost empty but Legions of Iron.reg was not (& had key) but the app is Solon. scratch head.
will try key anyway but it all looks like a mish mash
oh and weren't these pages funky and black just a few weeks ago?
& just to confrim - fresh XP install with just one account which has admin privleges
it accepted the key... well let me into menu.
yuck just had one of the nastiest app hangs I ever saw. CtrlAltDel had little effect many times over, had to reach for power button(standby) to get desktop & TM to kill it.
got it running though can neer seem to last long.
also I note it was trying to access out to internet but firewall stopped it - what is all that about?
I will look into these issues.

Trying to play on lan with a friend, changed the cd keys on both reg files but says cd key invalid a couple of seconds into the game! Any ideas?
every time i plug my USB into a new computer i have to put in a new serial, for both legions of iron and the expansion. registry entities have no keys in em (for either) got the download off pirate bay, gonna try the direct approach, but i figured i would let ya know about that.

what code is necessary to just append my key into the registry file? having connection issues so non torrent downloads have some serious issues.
as a side note, im seeding everything on here when i can (mostly overnight)
Legions of Iron should be fixed.
err Part 3 doesnt have Solon Heritage, it contains a file from legion of Iron

I have a problem with the game. Every time I exit the game, the cd-key and the settings are deleted from the reg file, so I have to restore it everytime from a backup I made. Please fix this

When I try to download just the portable launcher for the solon heritage, it takes me to google sites.
